Why Obama is wrong.

I'm very disappointed with Obama's deal with the GOP. It's projected that the tax cuts for people making over $250,000 and the unemployment benefits will cost us $894 billion over ten years. Because we are spending this money now we will be taxed even more in the future.  This group of people only make up 2% of America. Giving the wealthy a temporary tax break is not worth raising all of our taxes in the future.  I'm also mad that the plan includes 13 months of unemployment benefits. Because of this we becoming more socialist. A socialistic society is when the government not the private sector provides income for the public. I'm not saying that we should cut every job in the public sector, but eventually these people need to find jobs and us giving them possibly endless unemployment benefits won't help. Instead I think we should give them a gradual decline over 9 months. This way the government is still helping those people, but is also sending them a message that the government will at a certain point will stop providing them income.
